Large Bathroom Ideas

Curating a large space can be just as challenging as managing a small one. Too much unmanaged space in a bathroom can leave it feeling cold, uninviting and out of sync with the rest of the house. We've thought about a few general ideas to help you begin to design your dream space.

A large floor plan needs structure, avoid placing all the furniture and fittings against the wall. If possible providing a focal point for the room is a great way to utilise the space. This focal point could be a freestanding bath or free standing cabinets and sinks.

Installing a mix of of textiles in the bathroom can help provide warmth, interest and curate the space to divide the areas of your floor plan. This can be done using a mix of floor tiles for example, or try using a feature wall to highlight an area of the room that has a different function to the other.

With the luxury of having a bit of extra space to work with, consider what should be included in your bathroom suite to truly suit your household best?

If it's a master suite, would you and your partner benefit from a double shower? If it's shared with children, would it be useful to have more storage space to hold everyone's toiletries and towels?

While a large space can feel overwhelming to begin to design, it also provides an opportunity to truly have a bathroom suite that suits your unique needs. At Riva Tiles and Bathrooms we have experience managing all types of bathroom spaces and are passionate about helping you achieve your vision.
